Pay-Per-Load Calculator and FAQs

Beginning in fall 2022 (and with the Sept. 10 paychecks), 4CD will no longer pay part-time faculty classroom assignments at an hourly rate from the B-2 salary schedule with load adjustment factors. Instead, 4CD has moved to pay-per-load for part-time faculty classroom assignments at an 80% parity rate.  For an explanation, see the FAQs page, available here Pay-Per-Load FAQ.

In order to help faculty understand the new pay-per-load system and estimate pay for specific assignments, UF President Jason Mayfield has created a “pay calculator” using Microsoft Excel.  This form allows a member to enter key data: step (years of experience) and column/grade (education), as well as hours to be worked at specific assignments (lecture, lab, composition, activity, etc.). The form then calculates one’s office hour obligation and pay under the new system (and compares pay under the new and old systems).  To use the calculator, download the spreadsheet here: PpL Calculator v3(2).  Please note that the calculator is unofficial and provides estimates only, not taking into account pay for non0-classroom assignments or any deductions from pay. For accurate information about your, review your paystubs provided by the District on Insite.

If you have questions about your pay or about the new pay-per-load system, please call the UF Office at 825-680-1771 or email us at uf@uf4cd.org.
