Participate in DACA Advocacy Week

The Faculty Association of California Community Colleges (FACCC), the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office (CCCCO), and the Student Senate of California Community Colleges (SSCCC), and the Community College League of California (League) have united to encourage local advocacy in support of the over 200,000 young people in California impacted by the President’s decision to rescind the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.

October 16-20 has been designated DACA Advocacy Week, to showcase our students and the meaningful contributions they make to California and our nation.

Take the following steps: call your local congressional office, post messages on social media and distribute DACA Advocacy Week posters and postcards. Please report  the number of postcards mailed from your campus to local congressional offices.

•  Find your congressional representative (enter your zip code in the upper right).
• When using the social media toolkit, upload the following graphics 1,2,3,4,5 to your social media pages. Use the hashtag #CCCforDACA.
