Formed during the 1975-76 academic year by faculty at the three district colleges, Contra Costa, Diablo Valley and Los Medanos, the United Faculty of Contra Costa Community College District is an independent collective bargaining association and a member of the California Community College Independents (CCCI) and the Bay Faculty Association (BFA). We represent both part-time and full-time faculty throughout the CCCCD.

This web site is a work-in-progress, designed mainly to be a resource for our members. Here, you can find a copy of the UF/CCCCD Contract; copies of the Union’s publication, Table Talk; breaking news and announcements; and also a general blog where members may ask questions and engage in dialog. We also host a listserv where members may communicate with one another.

We welcome comments and suggestions about both this web site and issues concerning CCCCD faculty. For directions to our offices at Diablo Valley College, just type your starting address into the bow below. We are located in the FO-121 office.

  1. I belong to another union in a different community college district, and teach part time at Los Medanos college as a non-member. When I began teaching at Los Medanos College in 2004, I did not join the United Faculty, since belonging to two unions seemed redundant. I’d like to join now, but I don’t see a link to an application form on the web site. Can you send me a form?

I’d like to thank the union, its officers and staff for their service to the LMC community.

  2. The fastest and easiest way to join the UF is just to call the office and speak to Terrii: 925-680-1771. Fred, I’m not sure how to tell how old your message is. We don’t check these web messages as often as we should! But I’ll try to find you if you haven’t already become a member!

  3. I find myself unable to access forms at https://uf4cd.org/evaluation-forms-and-procedures/pc-users-evaluation-forms. When I click nothing happens; when I choose “open in new tab” nothing happens. I have tried on my office computer and my computer at home.

I need the forms to evaluate a part-time instructor in a hybrid class.

    Thanks,
    Alex
