Grievance Form

Every faculty member has the right to file a formal grievance if he or she has been adversely affected by a violation of any article, section or provision of the United Faculty/Contra Costa Community College District Agreement (the UF Contract).

The procedure for filing a grievance is outlined in Article 19 of the Contract, and we recommend reviewing that article and discussing your situation with your UF Vice President or Faculty Advocate before filing.  Often, we can negotiate a satisfactory resolution without recourse to the formal grievance process.

To file a grievance, you must use the Grievance Form available here as a PDF.  Make sure that point to a specific article of the contract that has been violated, and that you are specific in describing what you are seeking as a resolution to your grievance.  If you have questions or want to discuss the grievance process, please call the UF at 925-680-1771.
