Our United Faculty is a member of the California Community College Independents (CCCI) and a contract-member of the Faculty Association of California (FACCC), and both those organizations, along with faculty and student groups from the UC and CSU systems, belong to a coalition called Reclaim California’s Master Plan.  On 1-24-17, the Reclaim Coalition released a detailed report on how California could afford to restore funding for higher education and eliminate tuition for students.  The full text of the plan, called “the $48 Fix,” is here: 48dollarfix.
